The roots of Select Dental have been embedded in Hartford County for nearly 65 years. Founded in Rocky Hill, Connecticut in 1956, Dr. Irving Rosenberg established a small quaint office resembling earlier times on Old Main Street. Soon thereafter, Dr. David Barnett joined the practice where he retired in 2019 after a fulfilling 45-year career. Dr. Shoflick joined the team in 1990 and in turn, the practice became widely known and recognized as Barnett and Shoflick Family Dentistry.
Having established a strong reputation in the community over the years, several retiring dentists and colleagues turned to Barnett and Shoflick to continue caring for their patients. As the practice grew, it changed its name to Select Dental. The practices of Dr. Bill Brahm of Glastonbury, Drs. Ron Nadler and Abraham John of West Hartford, and Dr. Jay Mandell of Wethersfield all transitioned patients to Select Dental where the highest standard and quality of care was maintained. The expanding patient base was balanced with the recruitment of Dr. Matthew McCabe and an in-office specialist (periodontist) Dr. Arthur Dean, as well as a commitment to service in two, state-of-the-art locations in Rocky Hill and West Hartford. While continued growth and change are inevitable, the core values and philosophies concerning patient-centric care remain at the heart of Select Dental.
